Sydney’s Corner: Bandelier National Monument

Sydney and Jason walking along the trail at Bandelier.

We learned about Pueblo Indians.  I went into their caves.  They have a house in front of the their caves, probably to make more space.  I learned that they used foot holes to get into their houses not ladders.  It is very hard to be a Pueblo Indian, as you do not have modern medicine.  It is fun to learn how they lived.  I like grinding the corn.  Their art is called petroglyphs.  Pueblo Indians have pets such as dogs and turkeys.  Go to Bandelier to learn about Pueblo Indians.

Petroglyph from the Pueblo Indians

Each cave had a adobe home in front of it. The small round holes above and below the cave are anchors for the roof beams.
