A short 30-minute walk from the town center of Lviv, Ukraine is the Folk Architectural Museum. This outdoor museum is a collection of really old wood folk houses and churches that have been taken from local villages in an effort to preserve them. As we wandered through the forest exploring the different buildings we came across a 200 year old wood church that had red windows. A lady motioned for us to go inside and once in we were shocked at what we saw. The red glass in the windows bathes the interior of the church in blood red light. We have seen a lot of churches, but never have we seen one like this!

IRead your latest post. I have been in Romania several times volunteering in orphanges & schools after late 1990’s & early 2000. we satyed in Targovista ,the town where the communist dictator Cesusescu& his wife were excecuted. there are ruins there of Vlad the impaIer’s castle. you go to Bucherest the Peoples Palace is a must..Was being built by the people by order of Nicolae Cesausescu to be his palace. Never finished & after his death the people wanted to destroy it. Fortunetly the decision was made to use it for better things. The workmanship is excellent., Also if you get to Sinia thereis a beautiful castle built by King Carl of Germany.Romania is a beautiful country. Enjoy! kw : )
