Before leaving Jordan we had to experience the Dead Sea. Floating in it is the strangest sensation. You cannot sink no matter how hard you try and you totally feel like a cork. After a fun day of playing in the Dead Sea we were rewarded with this amazing sunset.

 

During our first 2 days visiting Petra I was not happy with the photos I was taking of Petra’s most iconic structure, the Treasury. On our second day visiting the site I noticed a person high up on the cliffs above the structure and I knew that I had to get up there. On the morning of our third day we spoke to several guides about how to get up there and found that there is a stairway that leads to the top. We followed the guides directions and found the ancient and heavily worn stone stairway leading up. 700 steps later we arrived at the top and then had to traverse through brush and rock to get to the lookout we sought. Upon reaching the spot we found a small shelter and two Bedouins enjoying morning tea. They invited us into their shelter and offered us tea. Here is the photo from that spot.
